The developers of The Last of Us Part I have released the v1.0.2.0 patch, which brings a range of fixes and improvements to the game. These updates address performance issues, visual bugs, user experience concerns, and hardware-specific problems.

Among the notable fixes, the patch resolves several crashes, including one that occurs while quickly swapping between character skin thumbnails and another related to shader loads when booting the game for the first time. Random crashes during gameplay have also been addressed.

The update enhances the game’s texture streaming to reduce CPU usage and corrects issues with DualSense and Xbox One controller analog sticks. It also improves graphics settings by accurately displaying VRAM usage and addressing several issues with texture quality settings.

Players will notice an updated user interface in the tutorial, a fix for mouse wheel scrolling acceleration in menus with dropdown options, and increased active loading to reduce load times during gameplay progression. The patch also resolves an issue where camera orientation may warp after exiting the Pause menu.

Numerous level-specific issues have been fixed, including gaps in geometry, animation loading failures, and flickering textures. The Left Behind Standalone expansion also sees improvements, with issues regarding water gun shots and crashes resolved, and enhanced level of detail in the Halloween store.

Accessibility features have been refined, with fixes to the Screen Magnifier and Navigation Assistance. Localization adjustments have been made for multiple languages, including English, Hungarian, Thai, Latam Spanish, Korean, and Swedish.

The patch addresses hardware-specific issues for AMD GPUs and Steam Deck users, as well as the Epic Games Store version of the game. These include correct defaults for graphics settings, improvements to the user interface for Steam Deck controls, and fixes to achievements not unlocking as intended.
